Fishing Boat Slips Anchor, Sinks in Gloucester, MA

The Coast Guard and [Gloucester, MA] Harbormaster staff responded to East Gloucester in the area of Niles Beach on Friday morning [Nov. 11] after the Blue Ocean fishing boat got loose from its anchor overnight and began to sink.
A Coast Guard spokeswoman said it first responded to the scene on report of a person possibly in the water, but found there was no one aboard the boat or in the water.
