On the Water reports on a 58.45-pound striped bass that was caught from a Rhode Island shoreline on Monday, November 5, 2012, by Nick Gibbs. Gibbs caught the fish taken at night on a black Bomber swimming plug.

In the article, Gibbs provides a firsthand account of the catch, and subsequent weigh-in at Quaker Lane Bait & Tackle in North Kingstown. Gibbs donated the striper to the Amos House in Providence, where it was made into fish chowder to feed people in need.
