Just when most anglers had given up hope of a fall false albacore fishery, there came word on Wednesday, September 18, that the species had invaded the local waters off Cape Cod.
Multiple pods were reported from Woods Hole to Osterville, sparking a frenzy of internet activity. With the weather looking good for the next several days, expect a lot of anglers to be calling in sick!
