Photo courtesy Mianus Chapter of Trout Unlimited. With the [2013] fishing season having begun Saturday [April 20], the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) is issuing its annual fish consumption advisory for fish caught in Connecticut waters.

DPH reminds anglers that some of the most popular species of fish have relatively little contamination and are safe to eat up to 2 times a week.
