The State of Connecticut is stocking over 2,000 fish at 5 new Community Fishing Waters (see below chart) to kick off the 2014 trout season, which opens Saturday (April 19).
Additional fish stocking takes place after Opening Day and channel catfish are stocked in last week of May. Daily limit in community fishing waters is 5 trout (any size) per angler.
Fishing licenses are required for anglers age 16 or over.
Free maps showing many of the river and stream locations where trout are stocked are now available online for Eastern and Western Connecticut on the DEEP website.
You can order one online at the CT Online Sportsman Licensing website here.
