Join like-minded anglers who share a passion for fishing and conservation at the Mianus [Connecticut] Chapter’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 12. Spend some time out of the house, shake off the winter cabin fever and spend the evening meeting fellow anglers, sharing stories about the past season and fishing plans for the year ahead and hear a great presentation.

This month, the chapter will learn about fishing the Croton Watershed system in New York from John Genovesi of the Croton Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Just a short hop across the state line, New York’s Croton system offers excellent fishing on a handful of great rivers. Learn where to go and when the fishing is best.

Mianus Chapter monthly meetings are free and open to members and non-members alike. Coffee, soft drinks and snacks are served.

Meetings are held in the Waveny Mansion at Waveny Park in New Canaan. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The program begins at 7:30.

  • Take Merritt Parkway to Exit 37 for Route 124 in New Canaan; Head north on Route 124 (South Avenue) toward town; Take the first left to Waveny Park; Follow the road to the top of hill; Mansion will be on left.
