On Tuesday, February 11, at 7:00 p.m., the Mianus, CT, Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host a presentation by Jeff Yates on Fly Fishing in Winter. Yates will also cover how and when to fish the famous Mianus River early black stonefly hatch.
Members and guests are welcome to this free event.
Also on the winter docket, is a group fishing trip on the Pootatuck River in Newtown, scheduled for February 22. One of only nine Class 1 Wild Trout Streams in Connecticut, the Pootatuck River and Deep Brook are great wild brook and brown trout streams. Learn where to fish and techniques for stalking the wily, wild trout from experienced anglers in the Mianus Chapter.
