The Wood Island Life Saving Station Association is hosting a flotilla in Kittery, Maine, from Fort McClary to Wood Island on Saturday, August 2, 2015, raising awareness for the nonprofit’s plan to restore the station for public use, according to an article on SeacoastOnline.com.

WILSSA has been raising funds to restore the life-saving station, which has fallen into disrepair, first by renovating the exterior. Through several federal grants and private donations, more than $700,000 has been raised for repairs.
