Forum to Focus on Wind Farms in Gulf of Maine

Offshore wind-power development in the Gulf of Maine will be the topic of a Seacoast Anti-Pollution League public forum and annual meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Portsmouth Public Library in Portsmouth, NH.

Speaking at the forum is Dr. Habib Dagher, director of the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at University of Maine at Orono. Dagher is involved in the process of building the first floating wind power project in the country off Monhegan Island, ME.

According to Seacoast Online, local governments if NH have passed resolutions calling on Governor Chris Sununu to encourage offshore wind development in the state.
