Friendship Sloop Talk This Friday

Capt. Dan West will give a free talk on the history of the popular Friendship sloop sailing vessel on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Sail, Power and Steam Museum in Rockland, Maine.

The talk will involve models, photos and memorabilia pertaining to this useful and beautiful craft. West will explore the evolution of the famous Friendship sloop, tracing the craft from its genesis through the sloop’s involvement in commercial fishing and finally as a popular recreational boat.
