A fund has been established to honor beloved Gloucester sailor and Sail GHS supporter Bobby Veltman, who died last November in a fall at Brown’s Yacht Yard. Since then, Veltman’s friends and colleagues created a fund—called the REV Fund—to help support the Gloucester High School sailing program.

So far, the fund has raised about $20,000, according to the Gloucester Times, with the money being used to purchase equipment and gear, as well as fund general maintenance and initiatives to help grow the program.

For example, the REV Fund is being used to support a summer sailing program for local youths. Proceeds from the fund will be used to hire counselors and instructors.
