Grants Awarded to Restore Wellfleet’s Herring River

According to the Cape Cod Times, the Friends of Herring River on Cape Cod has received $40,000 in grants for natural resource projects to help restore and protect the tidal river that flows into Wellfleet Harbor.
A $20,000 grant funded by the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Program, will be used for aiding the passage of herring, eels and other anadromous fish in the Upper Herring River watershed.
