Greenport, NY, Approves Tall Ship Funding

Suffolk Times: A second attempt to make payments for the Greenport [NY] Tall Ships event Wednesday afternoon [May 3] went smoother this time around than last week — though not exactly smoothly.

The Greenport Village Board approved $21,500 in contractual payments for the festival in a 4-1 vote at Wednesday’s special meeting. The public meeting was called days after a split vote last Thursday left the money unpaid.
