May 25, 2012
TheDay.com: The [Guilford, Connecticut] Board of Selectmen (BOS) recently approved a grant that Guilford’s Environmental Planner Kevin Magee said will help restore the marsh known as Long Cove, located north of Daniel Avenue, back to its original state.
“Back in March 2011, I applied for a grant to help restore the marsh at Long Cove, between Daniel Avenue and the railroad tracks,” Magee said to the BOS at its May 7 regular meeting.
The grant is provided through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The total project will cost just less than $99,000, with the grant providing $49,250 in funds.
