Hoax Distress Call in Narragansett Bay

EastBayRI.com: A call for help on Narragansett Bay turned out to be an apparent hoax early Tuesday morning, August 16.
At about 7:30 a.m. officials from the U.S. Coast Guard station at Castle Hill called the Barrington Fire Department and other departments from across the East Bay to assist with a boater in trouble.
Coast Guard officials said the boater was somewhere between Rumstick Point and Potters Cove on Prudence Island.
