Humpback Whale Washes Up in Rhode Island

EastBayRI.com reports that a dead juvenile humpback whale was found on Lloyd’s Beach in Little Compton, Rhode Island, on Friday, May 6.
The 20-foot-long whale was discovered by a Tiverton resident while the man was walking his dog. A full necropsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
