Invasive Fish Found in Maine’s Aroostook County

Maine officials recently documented a population of invasive smallmouth bass in Aroostook County that is likely the result of anglers moving live fish from one water to another.

This spring, an angler reportedly caught 15 smallmouth bass at Trafton Lake in Limestone. It is believed the introduction of the fish was illegal.
