Jail for Boater in Deadly NY Crash

A man who was drunk when he crashed a powerboat into a construction barge on the Hudson River, killing a bride-to-be and her fiancé’s best man, has been sentenced to two years in jail, according to an article on NYTimes.com.

The victims’ families called the sentence incomplete; they say that poor lighting on the barge, part of the construction for a new Tappan Zee Bridge, was the main cause of the crash.
