The town of Jamestown, RI, will shop for a new boat to replace the 26-year-old Eastern used by the harbor department, according to the Jamestown Press.

The town will apparently investigate the purchase of a “purpose built” boat, similar to models used by neighboring police departments. Apparently, the Eastern had been experiencing engine problems over the 2015 season.
