Large Sportfisherman Sinks in LI Sound

The Courant is reporting that a 63’ recreational vessel sank in Long Island Sound off Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut, on Saturday, June 22.
All passengers and crew were rescued by Good Samaritan boaters in the area, and no injuries were reported. No fuel spills were reported either.
According to The Courant, the boat, a sportfisherman, apparently struck a submerged object about a quarter-mile offshore and began taking on water at around 2:30 p.m.
