Lecture to Focus on Problem of Marine Debris
November 14, 2011
This Tuesday, November 15, Rachael Miller, Executive Director of The Rozalia Project will present a lecture on the problem of marine debris in an exciting and interactive audience challenge that focuses on what boaters can do about this problem. The lecture is part of the Tuesday night Dinner-and-a-Lecture series sponsored by the International Yacht Restoration School (IYRS).
Miller will also discuss the adventures and programs of the Rozalia’s mothership, American Promisem, and the travels and work they do onboard to collect debris using a VideoRay ROV (remotely operated vehicle). Actual footage of debris on the bottom of the ocean provides an alarming wake-up call to action.
