Coast Guard Ice Cutter Floods in MA

The Coast Guard’s main ice cutter, the Pendant, with a crew of seven people onboard, was forced to change course when it began flooding in Weymouth, Massachusetts’ Fore River on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
According to an article on PatriotLedger.com, water began leaking into the boat from a hole at around half a gallon per minute. The crew aboard the 50-year-old, 65’ boat quickly worked on shoring the hole with pieces of wood.
