Lobster Boat Burns in Plymouth Bay
June 3, 2020
On Friday, May 29, a 22-foot lobster boat caught fire in Cordage Channel on Plymouth Bay. The captain had been tending to his lobster pots when he discovered a small fire in the engine compartment. His attempts to extinguish the fire proved unsuccessful and he was taken aboard the boat of a nearby fisherman.
The Plymouth Fire Dept. and the harbormaster arrived and put out the fire, but not before the boat had suffered heavy damage.
