MA Ice Fishing Festivals Open to Public

The Massachusetts Division of Fish & Wildlife will host 2 free ice-fishing festivals in February, providing a great opportunity for kids and families to learn more about this fun winter activity in a non-competitive event. The public is invited to bring their own equipment or borrow some at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Experts will be on hand to demonstrate how to fish through the ice. Bait will be provided.

The first festival will be held February 10 at the Chesterfield Scout Reservation (22 Sugar Hill Rd, Williamsburg, MA) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The second festival will be held February 17  at Hodges Village Dam (Augutteback Pond, 30 Howarth Rd., Oxford MA) from 10:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m.
