MA Officials to Discuss North Shore Dredging Concerns
June 18, 2015
Officials from communities along the North Shore of Massachusetts are scheduled to meet Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Town Hall in Ipswich to discuss dredging in waterways used for recreational and commercial boat traffic, according to a SalemNews article
Municipal leaders say that waterways opening on the ocean have become increasingly clogged with mud and silt, threatening the ability of some boats to traverse the waterways, especially at low tide.
Officials in Newburyport, Ipswich and Gloucester are among those who have expressed concern.
