MA Rep. Seeks Delay on ESA Listing for Sturgeon, Herring

The Patriot Ledger reports that Representative Edward Markey (D-MA), the ranking Democrat on the House’s Natural Resources Committee, has asked that the relicensing of the Entergy Corp.’s 40-year-old powerplant in Plymouth, Massachusetts, be put on hold until the agencies can address how the plant would affect Atlantic sturgeon and river herring, both of which are being considered as threatened species.
