MA Sailor Eyes Windsurfing at Olympics

A talented collegiate sailor from Martha’s Vineyard is hoping to compete as a windsurfer in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, according to an article on MVGazette.com.
Solvig Sayre, of Vineyard Haven, was a skipper on her Eckerd College sailing team. Windsurfing falls under the broad spectrum of sailing at the Olympics and athletes sail the same courses as the sailors with boats, so her college experience has been a boon to staying in shape.
