Maine Declares August Lobster Month

Seacoast Online: Maine governor Paul LePage has signed a proclamation declaring August “Maine Lobster Month.”

As a result of Maine’s successful lobster conservation effort, the state has hit record harvest levels for the last 3 years. LePage’s proclamation will help kick off a celebration of lobster and the Maine Lobster Promotion Council‘s Lobster Lovers campaign. The campaign includes promotions with retailers, restaurants, and members of the hospitality industry in Maine and New England.
