Maine Man Rows 349 Miles in 12 Days

Seacoast Online reports on Kennebunkport’s Rick Wills, who rowed his 17′ wooden dory 349 miles in 12 days.

Wills began his personal rowing quest on June 16 in Kittery and ended it on Campobello Island at the Canadian border, completing his trip two days ahead of schedule.

Along the way he had to battle fierce currents and high winds unfavorable winds, but also enjoyed close encounters with seals, osprey and eagles.
