Maine to Fishermen: Renew Saltwater License Before July 16

Maine officials are encouraging fishermen to renew their marine licenses online before July 16, 2015, as the state transitions to a new system. Current license holders who do not renew by July 16 will have to use paper applications or wait until September to buy a license or permit under the new system.
According to Maine officials, the new system will operate 24/7 and include online tools for license application, renewal and reporting catch data.
