Maine Wind Farm Forum Draws 160 People

The Bangor Daily News reported on a mid-December forum in Belfast, Maine, aimed at educating members of the recreational boating community, coastal property owners, commercial fishermen and others about the potential effects of ocean wind farms.
An experimental turbine installation is currently being prepared for the waters south of Monhegan Island. If successful, it could pave the way for large-scale turbine projects similar to the 130-turbine wind farm currently being developed in Massachusetts.
