Man Drowns in Lake in Scarborough, ME

Portland Press Herald: A man who police say had been drinking drowned Sunday afternoon in a lake at Wassamki Springs Campground in Scarborough.
The 45-year-old man was trying to swim to a small island in the middle of the lake when he began to have difficulty at about 2:20 pm. The man, whose name has not been released, was not wearing a life jacket, Gorham police Sgt. Daniel Young said in a news release.
