Man Injured in Nantucket Barge Accident

The Inquirer and Mirror: A man was injured Tuesday after being pinned between the Steamboat Wharf and a barge, and then falling into the frigid harbor waters.
The victim, an employee of Toscana Corporation, the island company that owns the barge, was placed on a stretcher and taken to Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, NCH spokesman Bill Ferrall confirmed the man was flown by a Coast Guard jet to a Boston hospital, and listed him in serious condition.
