Marstons Mills River Kayak Trip Scheduled

The Barnstable (Massachusetts) Land Trust is hosting a kayak trip on Saturday morning, June 9, in Marstons Mills. Join BLT Land Manager Red Bansfield and Bobby Wilds of Great Marsh Kayak Tours on a kayak trip across Hamblin’s Pond and Middle Pond to the head of the Marstons Mills River herring run.

The trip starts at 10:00 a.m. from the Hamblin’s Pond Recreation Area. Participants will portage across the isthmus separating the 2 ponds, where local resident Dianne Burden will provide lemonade and cookies. During the trip, kayakers will explore woodlands, wetlands, wildlife habitat and learn about the herring run.

Departing from Hamblin’s Pond Recreation Area

Fees:
$60 per person fee for the kayak trip (includes $30 tax-deductible
donation to BLT). PRE-REGISTRATION WITH A CREDIT CARD IS NECESSARY.
All equipment provided. No discount for bringing your own equipment.
