Massachusetts Marine Park Nears Completion

A new marine park in Scituate, Massachusetts, has moved one step closer to reality, as selectmen on Tuesday awarded what will likely be one of the last contracts for the project, according to an article in the Patriot Ledger.

The town bought 3 acres of harbor-side land in 2004 with the idea of building a public marine park, which will include a maritime center and boatyard. This latest contract allows Mass Concrete Works to begin the final phase of landscaping and path construction.

Besides the trails and landscaped areas, the park will include a coastal dune along the harbor and restored salt marshes.
