Mayflower II Returning to Plymouth for Summer
May 4, 2015
Westerly Sun: It’s been a busy winter for the Mayflower II, the full-scale reproduction of the original Mayflower owned by Plimoth Plantation.
The ship has been at the Mystic Seaport since December as part of a multi-year renovation project to make it as good as new, just in time to mark the 400-year anniversary of the original Mayflower crossing the Atlantic.
The ship is scheduled to return to Plymoth, MA, on May 15 for the summer’s tourist season before returning to Mystic in December. The pattern will be repeated until the restoration is complete.
