Merrimack Bridge Replacement Project Moving Ahead

Newburyport News: The project to replace the Hines Bridge, which connects Amesbury with Deer Island over the Merrimack River, is beginning to look like it might be getting somewhere.
But what exactly is going on there? What are the cranes all about? How are the neighbors dealing with the disruption? And most importantly, when will it be done? As with any construction project, there really is no such thing as a normal day at ground zero of the $34 million construction project.
