Minor Offshore 25 a Fast, Efficient Pocket Trawler

With a 300-hp diesel, the Minor Offshore 25 zips along at a top-end of around 40 mph.

The Minor Offshore 25 is a rugged, trailerable mini-trawler from Scandinavian builder Sarins Boats and distributed through Skarne Marine in Milford, Connecticut.

Power is provided by a fuel-efficient single 200- to 300-hp Volvo-Penta diesel. The latter powerplant delivers a 25-knot cruise while burning 7.5 gallons per hour. Top speed is in the 35- to 40-mph range. Sturdy handrails surround the single-level walkaround deck, while twin stainless gates open to allow access to the swim platform. Sliding doors on either side of the pilothouse afford access to the cabin, which boasts a compact galley with alcohol stove, a sink with hot and cold water, and a U-shaped dinette. Overhead is a large sunroof that lets in lots of natural light. Below is a V-berth that sleeps 2, along with an enclosed head.
