November 11, 2017

Volunteers rescued a Mola mola from Little Buttermilk Bay in Bourne, Massachusetts on Monday, November 6, 2017.
According to an article on CapeCodTimes.com, the large, flat, semi-tropical fish found its way into the bay through twisted waterways and was in danger of becoming stuck. Officials say that each year, during the fall and winter, dozens of semi-tropical fish become lost or stranded in the waters or on the flats around Cape Cod.
Mola mola are large fish that can weigh more than 1,000 pounds.
