Necropsy Performed on Dead Right Whale on Cape Cod

Cape Cod Times: The inquiry into the death of a young North Atlantic right whale began Friday at Harding Beach with the sound of knives being sharpened and a putrid smell in the air.
But the deep, deep cuts along the whale’s large body laying in the sand, 9 gashes in total, most likely from boat propellers cuts, caused some in the crowd of bystanders to pause.
