New Bedford Hurricane Barrier Work Repair Continues

SouthCoastToday: In yet another sign of an early spring, welders from the Reagan Construction Corp. of Middletown, Rhode Island, were back on the hurricane barrier this week. Scheduled maintenance work on the gates has resumed after a winter break.
“They are down among the I-beams making some repairs,” said Larry Davis, a manager at the Cape Cod Canal office of the Army Corps of Engineers, which has responsibility for the barrier.
