New Docks Offer Short-Term Tie-Up/Drop-Off in Newport

July 19, 2010: Construction of new docks and a gazebo at Perrotti Park in Newport has been completed and are ready for use.

The docks were installed to increase access for cruise ship passengers and the general boating public. Boaters can tie up to the docks for 15 minutes to pick up or offload passengers or to use the public restroom. Perrotti Park is located at 39 America’s Cup Avenue in Newport, south of Long Wharf and next to the harbormaster’s office. The location affords quick access to the downtown area by foot.
