New Dresden, ME, Boat Launch Encounters Hurdles

According to the Lincoln County News, the town of Dresden, Maine, could have a new boat launch on the Kennebec River at the site of the old Dresden-Richmond bridge by mid-August 2015. However, Maine Department of Environmental Protection wants the town to pay $20,000 to compensate the department for wetland impacts.

Dresden voters will decide whether to appropriate the necessary funds at the annual town meeting on June 13.
