New England Boating TV, 2013, Bass River, MA
July 22, 2013

In this episode of New England Boating TV, hosts Parker Kelley and Tom Richardson visit the Bass River on Cape Cod. The beautiful tidal river flows for 11 miles between the towns of Dennis and Yarmouth before entering Nantucket Sound.
As you’ll see, the river is a boater’s paradise, and features several good launch ramps and kayak put-ins along its lower portion. Parker and Tom get a tour of the river with local experts Dewitt Davenport and the Collins family, who show off the waterway’s many attractions, including Boaters’ Beach, the Summer Shanty dock-and-dine restaurant at the Bass River Marina, the historic windmill and a great place to go tubing inside the river.
They also get a seal show and fish the rips off Monomoy Island, just a few miles from Bass River. And last but not least, Tom paddles the river courtesy of Bass River Kayaks. Overall, the show highlights many reasons for putting the Bass River on your “must-boat” list!
New England Boating TV, sponsored by GMC and Boston Whaler and their network of New England dealers. The show airs Monday, at 7:00 p.m. on NESN.
