Mattapoisett – Harbor Tour
Join New England Boating TV co-hosts Parker Kelley and Tom Richardson as they visit the charming town and harbor of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, on the western shore of Buzzards Bay. A former shipbuilding center, Mattapoisett comes by its nautical roots honestly. Today it welcomes boaters with a host of amenities and services, including great boatyard, an excellent launch ramp, transient moorings, a dinghy dock and more. Ashore you’ll find a well-stocked general store, a cozy inn, a beautiful park, and several restaurants within easy walking distance of the harbor.
The Mattapoisett episode explores all of these venues, as well as a bit of history, thanks to local historian Seth Mendell. Parker and Tom also take time out to kayak the Mattapoisett River, and even catch a few sea bass in Buzzards Bay.
It’s an action- and information-packed show that has something to offer boaters and non-boaters alike!
