New Nantucket Harbor Dinghy Dock in Works

Nantucket Inquirer & Mirror: The Nantucket Islands Land Bank is pushing forward with plans for a 140’ dock at Petrel Landing to open up public access to the harbor despite neighbors’ efforts to fight the project in court any way possible because they feel it will ruin their otherwise quiet downtown neighborhood.

The plan is on the July 26 Conservation Commission agenda for a public hearing.

Land Bank chairman Neil Paterson said now is the time to secure as much public access to the harbor as possible before it is too late.
