New Stuff: PowerPro Expands Maxcuatro Braided Line
December 8, 2016
PowerPro has expanded its award-winning Maxcuatro line of super-thin braid with 3 new sizes. Braided exclusively with Spectra HT (High-Tenacity) fiber from Honeywell, Maxcuatro is up to 25% thinner than equivalent braids of the same strength.
The new Maxcuatro 20-, 30- and 40-pound-test strengths will interest anglers who target smallmouth bass and other species in swift river currents, as well as those seeking greater casting distance for presenting light lures in clear lakes. The thinner diameter also contributes to a lighter-weight braid, making it ideal for compact reels.
The line’s Spectra HT fiber allows for 4-carrier construction, reducing friction when passing through guides. Anglers will notice the extra casting distance when using smaller, lighter lures, or when pitching jigs at docks and brush piles.
PowerPro Maxcuatro braid is offered in Moss Green and High-Vis Yellow. Both colors are available in the new 20-, 30- and 40-pound test and offered on 150-, 300-, 500- and 1,500-yard spools. The original 50-, 65-, 80- and 100-pound-test Maxcuatro braid is offered on 150-, 500-, 1,500- and 3,000-yard spools.
