New Suffolk Waterfront Fund Chowderfest Coming Up
May 6, 2014
The New Suffolk Waterfront Fund’s annual Chowderfest will be held May 24, 2014.
The event, now in its 6th year, will feature live music from “Who Are Those Guys,” local barbecue and, of course, lots of chowder. There will be more than 50 varieties of perennial plants for sale—many not usually seen in the retail market—including deer-resistant plants, groundcovers, natives, herbaceous and vines.
Hosted in partnership with the Peconic Land Trust, all proceeds go toward the restoration and revitalization of the New Suffolk Waterfront property.
Chowderfest and plant sale hours tale place noon to 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of First Street and New Suffolk Ave., New Suffolk.
Tickets: $20 online at newsuffolkwaterfront.org or $25 at the door. Children younger than 12 years old eat for free.
