Newport, RI, Harbor Shuttle to Add King Park Stop

Newport Now: Following up on a successful 2010 season, the operators of the Newport Harbor Shuttle are planning on expanding their route to include a stopover at one of the city’s most popular waterside parks.
In its yearly application to the state’s Public Utilities Commission, Oldport Marine has requested permission to add a stop at the Stone Pier, a popular transient tie-up spot at the southern end of King Park. Habormaster Tim Mills has signed off on the plan. Waterfront Commission members also gave their approval to the proposal during their February 10 meeting.
