Volunteers should meet at 8:30 a.m. at Martini Shell Park on Truman Pkwy. in Hyde Park, where they will be assigned a clean-up location. Then volunteers will hop in their cars, in someone else’s car, or on their bikes to travel to their work sites. At each site, volunteers will work together to pull large debris out of the river, until 12:30 p.m.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained, wet, and/or torn – e.g., shirt, long pants, sturdy shoes, hat, work gloves. Also, bring drinking water, sunblock, bug repellent, and a snack.

Let us know whether you also can bring a canoe or kayak, as well as any equipment that may come in handy – such as a wheelbarrow; durable rope; heavy-duty, large hooks; come-along winch; garbage pick, etc.

Participants must be 15 years old or older.

RSVP to neponsetrivercleanup@gmail.com or to Carly Rocklen at Neponset River Watershed Association at (781-575-0354 x303).

Rain date is Sunday, August 25.
